Services
In addition to being a performer, I am also available for the following:
Education – I have been teaching guitar privately since 2010 for students of all ages. I have also taught through independent music schools. Additionally, I have experience teaching at the College level through my studies at CUNY City College where I served as guest lecturer and teacher assistant, and I currently serve as an Assistant Dean at Manhattan School of Music. I hold a BFA degree in jazz performance and an MA degree in music with a concentration on theory, so I am well prepared to tackle any subject a student may be interested in. My students have ranged from children to seniors. In all cases, I have been successful at getting my students closer to their goals as musicians.
I am available for in person and Skype, Facetime, or Zoom lessons. Subjects can include guitar technique, composition, and music theory. My lessons can serve any style or genre.
Engraving/transcribing – I have been engraving a lot of music since 2009 and have become quite efficient at it. Most recently I completed an MA Music degree with a music theory concentration where I had to transcribe and/or engrave a lot of challenging music by composers such as Brian Ferneyhough, Michael Finnissy, and Charles Wuorinen. I can engrave music from the simplest lead sheet-type tunes to hyper-complex orchestra passages. I am equipped with Finale 25 and a lot of patience for any project you may need assistance with.
Examples: –
2nd String Quartet (M. Finnissy) – Condensed score example of a passage in the piece
Wie Bin Ich Froh (A. Webern) – Arranged for guitar & voice
Faunus – Excerpt from an original composition for solo flute
Halcyondaze (Secret Mall) – Lead sheet
Audio Engineering – I have been serving as a recording, editing, mix, and mastering engineer for some time now, for more information, please refer to my studio & engineering page.
